How many WMAs are in Tennessee?
TWRA lists more than 120 wildlife management areas across four regions.
What does a WMA permit cost?
See the license page for current prices. The Annual Sportsman license includes WMA permits.
Can I camp on a WMA?
Some WMAs allow camping in designated areas; check the area listing.
Are dogs allowed on WMAs?
Rules vary by species and area. Bear and small game dog rules are set in each listing.
Do WMAs have their own season dates?
Yes. Many run shorter seasons than statewide, and some hunts are quota only.
Is baiting allowed on WMAs?
No. The new Deer Bait Privilege License applies only on private land.
Do I wear blaze orange on a WMA?
Yes during big game gun and muzzleloader hunts, including small game hunters.
