Magenta Deer Zone in Georgia
The Magenta either-sex zone covers 9 counties in the southwest corner around Bainbridge, Thomasville and Camilla, quail plantation and peanut country. These are its 2026-27 private land doe days, counties and deer harvest.

Magenta is the southwest zone of 9 counties: Baker, Calhoun, Decatur, Early, Grady, Miller, Mitchell, Seminole and Thomas. It is the only zone where archery starts buck only, Sept. 12-27, before turning either sex on Sept. 28. The firearms season runs either sex to Jan 15, 2027, five days past the statewide close, and a late archery segment follows, Jan 16 to Jan 31. Like Green, Magenta has antlerless-only gun days on Oct 3 to Oct 4; 7 of its counties also hold dog-deer seasons. In 2025-26 the zone’s counties reported 10,567 deer; adjusted for non-reporting, WRD puts it at 15,921.
