How Georgia quota hunts work
A quota hunt caps the number of hunters on an area for set dates; a sign-in hunt does not, though every WMA bear, deer and turkey hunter signs in online, from the day before.
WRD quota hunts allow a set number of hunters per area/date; apply online at GoOutdoorsGeorgia.com (applications due 11:59 p.m. EST on the deadline). Permits are non-transferable; notification by email only.
Priority points
One point per category per year if not selected (or via a points-only application); points can be wagered (group max = lowest member's balance); only points needed for selection are deducted. Dog-bear participants lose all dog-bear points. Youth categories cover hunters 15 and under.
Fees
The 2026-27 guide and WRD quota page state no application fee. Some state park hunts charge a $30 nonrefundable hunt fee plus a park pass; federal areas set their own fees.
