How Georgia VPA land works
VPA ground stays private. WRD leases it for public hunting, and the regulations list the dates and the game for each tract; outside those dates the land is closed. The usual WMA rules apply: a Georgia hunting or fishing license or a Lands Pass to enter at 16 and older, and online sign-in for bear, deer and turkey. 7 of the WRD property pages tell hunters to report deer and turkeys in Game Check under the Public Land option, the county and the property name.

Appling County Dove Field
The Appling County Dove Field is 110 acres of dove fields open the first three Saturdays of dove season.
Camp Thunder VPA
Camp Thunder VPA is a 1,627-acre property located outside of Thomaston.

The 95-acre McEntire Road VPA area is located in the southern edge of Murray County and contains huntable crop fields for migratory birds (i.e. doves), as well as forested land that may be small game hunted during posted dates.

The 143-acre Pleasant Valley VPA is a partnership between the local landowner and the Georgia DNR, WRD to provide public hunting access.

No. It is private land leased by WRD, open to public hunting only on the listed dates.
