Green Deer Zone in Georgia
Most of Georgia, from the northwest valleys and the piedmont to the coastal plain and the coast: the Green either-sex zone, with its 2026-27 calendar and county list.

Green is Georgia’s default zone: every county not given another colour, 134 in all, sits here. After the regular opener on Oct 17, 2026, every firearms day through Jan 10, 2027 is either sex on private land, 86 days in a row. Green also opens two antlerless-only firearms days before the season, Oct 3 to Oct 4, 2026. Two counties are split: Forsyth (north of GA Hwy 20) and Fulton (south of GA Hwy 92). The other part of each sits in a different zone or limit. Game Check logged 177,602 deer here in 2025-26 (87,232 bucks, 90,370 does), against 178,931 the season before.
